Floria Airboat Rides at Gator Park
The Everglades National Park is known for its vast wildlife. There are hundreds of bird species, many of which are on the endangered or threatened list. You'll see lots of large wading birds, such as the roseate spoonbill, great blue heron, white ibis and a variety of egrets, as well as the osprey.
The Everglades' marine life includes more than 200,000 alligators as well as American crocodiles. In abundance are fish such as large mouth bass, redfish, snapper, blue gil and catfish.
Other wildlife in the Everglades includes the white- tailed deer, more than 28 different snakes - a few which are venomous - and let us not forget, the endangered Florida panther.

love bug

diese Spezies paart sich staendig, und klebt in riesen Mengen auf unserer Windschutzscheibe

The love bug (also known as march fly, honeymoon fly, telephone bug, kissybug and double-headed bug) (scientific name Plecia nearctica) is a small flying insect common to the southern United States, especially along the Gulf Coast. It is nuisance to motorists driving quickly enough to spatter the insects on their windshields. They are acidic and can affect the paint on the vehicles they collide with if not washed off. They seem to be attracted to lighter colored objects (white fence posts are usually blackened with them during the peak season), but can accumulate anywhere.

Haifisch filetieren in Cedar Key

auf einem Campingplatz in Ceda Key so ziemlich am Ende der Welt haben unsere Campingnachbarn einen Haifisch gefangen und Gino hilft beim filetieren

Welcome to Cedar Key!
Visit us in the Heart of Florida's Nature Coast, a recreational paradise. We are a small, relaxed, island community located three miles out in the Gulf of Mexico. Rich in small town flavor, it is said Cedar Key is the Island community where time stands still. Cedar Key is located on Way Key, the largest island in the "Cedar Keys".
The Cedar Keys make up one of the oldest bird and wildlife refuges in the United States. With its rich history and natural beauty, you may not want to leave!
About Cedar Key...
Cedar Key is one of the oldest ports in the state, and when Florida's first railroad connected it to the east coast, it became a major supplier of seafood and timber products to the northeast. Today it has become a haven for artists and writers who find the unspoiled environment inspirational to their work. Many people visit each year to walk the historic streets browse the shops and galleries, explore the back bayous and enjoy the world-famous restaurants featuring seafood fresh from local waters. Annually, thousands of visitors come to enjoy the Old Florida Celebration of the Arts in April, the Fourth of July Celebration and the October Seafood Festival.
In addition to excellent fishing, birdwatching and nearby nature trails, guides are available to take parties for off-shore trips to the outer islands. A public marina with boat docking is available.
Federally protected sanctuaries, the Cedar Keys form a chain of barrier islands ideally suited to a vast range of migratory and shore birds, including the elusive white pelican, roseate spoonbill and bald eagle. The variety of natural habitats, from salt marshes to Indian shell mounds, makes this truly a nature lover's paradise.

John Pennekamp Coral Reef

Key Largo

04. April / Maps wasting time

Welcome to the historic fishing village of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, a quaint, little town where your senses can come alive.
Listen as the warm salty breezes whisper tales of the creek and its inhabitants. Hear the songs of the waterfowl as they search for their breakfast, diving into the water and mucking through the pluff mud. In the evenings, a variety of local entertainers make their own music at area restaurants and bars. Taste the ocean's rich gifts that have made Murrells Inlet the Seafood Capital of South Carolina. Visit our local seafood markets or kick back and enjoy a meal at one of our famous restaurants. With more than 30 restaurants in the area, Murrells Inlet has something for everyone. Although seafood is what we're famous for, there are plenty of other tempting options in the Inlet. Murrells Inlet is also home to great Italian, Chinese, Thai, hamburger and steak restaurants.
