Geiger Key Marina History Founded over 50 years ago by two fishermen as a camp for their friends, Geiger Key Marina RV Park is still the way the Keys used to be. Tucked away off the beaten path, it provides a private haven that's only 10 miles from Key West.
Geiger Key was built alongside the old U.S. Highway 1, a route that attracted campers to the Atlantic coast from all over the United States. When the highway was re-routed, Geiger Key was removed from the hustle and bustle, giving birth to a laid-back environment that continues to this day.
